The Camino Real or Inca Trail passes through the base of this hill. 

The Qhapaq Ñan, also known as the Inca Trail, is an extensive network of structures and associated roads, built by pre-Hispanic cultures, especially by the Incas, between 1200 to 1520 A.D. this road reached its maximum length in the 15th century, during the reign of the Inca Huayna Capac, facilitating the integration of the Inca empire in a relatively short time and the conquest of vast territories of what came to constitute the Tahuantinsuyo. (UNESCO, 2014).

08:00 The trip starts at your hotel in Cuenca or designated place.

09:00 hike to the summit of Cojitambo.

10:00 Start of the trekking along the Qhapaq Ñan, a journey that begins in the archaeological complex of Cojitambo and passes through the base of the mountain, here we visit the valley of the huacas, site where the mashuc jutcu is located, the spring of water and more.

12:00 Visit to the church of Cojitambo.

13:00 Lunch.

15:00 Visit to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Nube.

16:00 Return to the city of Cuenca and end of our services.
