DETAILS

DAY 1

09:00: We leave from the city of Riobamba, in approximately 3 hours we arrive at the Chunchi canton, a place where we can take a break before going to Puñay, then we continue the journey by vehicle to the base of Puñay in approximately 20 minutes.

12:00: Lunch in the community.

13:30: We start trekking to Puñay mountain from 2575 m.a.s.l. to 4346 m.a.s.l., the journey to the summit can vary between 2 to 3 hours.

16:00: Once we arrived at the top of Mount Puñay, we set up the tents and moved to the lookout point to witness the incredible sunset over a blanket of clouds.

17:30: It is the approximate time when the sunset begins, so you should have your video and photography equipment ready, or simply be ready to enjoy this moment.

18:00: Our guides will prepare an exquisite mountain dinner.

19:00: During the camping we will have a bonfire, this is the right time to share legends and stories that few know about this sacred site.

DAY 2

7:30: It is the perfect time to enjoy the sunrise and sunrise.

9:30: We descend from the mountain to the base, where a breakfast lunch prepared by a family in the community awaits us.

11:00: Return to the city of Riobamba.

15:30Arrival to the city of Riobamba.
